| Bramalea Lions Club was chartered in 1962, the club became a major player in community events almost from inception. Youth activities and sporting events (hockey, baseball, soccer, etc.) was and remains one of the clubs more active sponsorship roles. Our Health and Welfare Committee provides assistance to such organizations as Canadian Blood Services, Salvation Army, Brampton Civic Hospital and a host of others, as well as individual requests for assistance. Through the Education Committee, we annually provide six secondary schools with two scholarships each, to aid deserving students in their quest for advanced learning. This is a long-term commitment to the youth of Bramalea, and one we embrace willingly. As times change, our focus on various activities changes to match, and nothing reflects this more then the recent years where we became a sponsor for the Air Canada Dreams Take Flight program. To date; we have sent 54 deserving children to experience a "Dream Come True". |
